I recently installed Fileserve Manager and thought it would be easier to download from Fileserve. Instead, it's been a nuisance. It took over as the default search engine for Firefox. The startpage was also taken. I tried my best to uninstall Fileserve Manager from my computer to little success. The program was gone but Firefox was still hijacked by Fileserve powered Yahoo search.

Luckily, I found one solution that worked from Firefox forums. If you are facing same problem, try the technique below. It might be of help to you because it worked for me.

In your firefox browser type about:config

It will ask are you sure that you are going to be careful.

Select "Yes"

In the filter bar type "fileserve"

For all of the results that it shows Right click and select "reset"

This will take your system back to normal.
